After the devastating Ellicott City, Maryland flood of July 2016, DreamBuilders partnered with Rebuilding Together Howard County to repair a home on upper Main Street that did not have flood insurance. The Ellicott City Historical Preservation Commission approved the repair project as follows: replace all windows;  repair external walls and install new siding; repair all gutters and downspouts; remodel the kitchen; install drywall, flooring, cabinets, appliances, and plumbing. We worked 9 weekends this fall. Here's a glimpse of our work:

Our work is complete. Early tasks included removing old windows and preparing rough openings for the new windows, demolition of the kitchen area, and exterior Typar wrapping for weather protection. We painted the front porch siding and new windows. We installed hardie-siding and handled other repairs. All interior walls have been repaired and the windows painted. The kitchen plumbing and electric rough-in is complete, drywall installed, and walls are spackled and primed. The kitchen floor, cabinets and countertops have been installed. Many local businesses generously supported our work. More photos...
